Cleaner Trowbridge?
We’ve never considered street cleansing in Trowbridge to be very good. There were signs of improvement from 2001 but from autumn last year, standards fell way below acceptability. Your Councillors toured the estate with the Head of Street Cleansing several times during the winter and showed him our concerns about flytipping and rubbish were valid.
In February, residents told us that Roath and Cyncoed were being cleaned every day. We asked the Council for details of the street cleansing schedules in those areas. We never got them but there may have been some embarrassment because Trowbridge and St. Mellons suddenly began receiving a better service, fly-tipping was removed in Trowbridge Green and the garage site at Menai Way.
