Trowbridge Green Improvement Programme
We understand that there may be additional funding for this scheme up to April 2005. As your Councillors we strongly recommend all the owners of around 48 privately owned homes who have not yet signed up to do so quickly.
A minimum of 90% of the total cost is covered by the grant (75% in the case of properties owned by landlords). Homes that have not yet been improved are beginning to stick out like sore thumbs and this will be reflected in their value when they are put up for sale. In addition they spoil the appearance of the whole area.
Mortgage lenders are normally very helpful when it comes to increasing a loan to cover the cost of improvements of this nature.
