Hendre Lake Park
The park is focused on Hendre Lake which lies south of St. Mellons alongside the Paddington - Cardiff railway line opposite the Eurofrieght Terminal. It can be accessed by Trowbridge residents via Hendre Road.
The park is being developed with about £1m mainly consisting of planning gain cash raised from new housing developments in St. Mellons and a contribution from European Objective 2 money.
Your Labour Councillors have been very involved in this project, planting trees and pressurising the Council to move the project forward. Most recently it completed a new car park which can be accessed from Cypress Drive. Eventually visitors will be able to walk right around the lake once a bridge has been built across Tarwick Reen.
Volunteers organised by the St. Mellons Environment Network have also been involved. If you would like to help tel: Jo Brookman 20417339
